Hello, I’m Dr. Colette Beetz, a Psychologist with Sugar Land Psychological Associates. In addition to my role here, I serve as a Psychologist within the Department of Justice where I manage a substance abuse treatment program. I’ve also held similar positions in the past with other locations throughout the Department of Justice System.

My practice spans various therapeutic modalities, including individual, couples, and group psychotherapy. I bring a wealth of experience in forensic psychological assessment and the rehabilitation of individuals in prison systems and psychiatric hospitals. My expertise extends to addressing issues like substance use, insomnia, depression, anxiety, and trauma.

In the academic sphere, my research and dissertation have honed in on substance use, intellectual disability, and compassion fatigue, showcasing my dedication to comprehending intricate psychological matters.

Throughout my career, I’ve been passionately committed to assisting individuals across different age groups in navigating mental health symptoms and addiction. This journey weaves together clinical practice, correctional psychology, and a profound exploration of critical topics in the psychological landscape.
